Mandala embroidery -  inspired from a small indian embroidered square. Finished 10/10/2023.

 

Rose

I had done the 3D rose pattern from the book 'Fleurs in patchwork" from Ruth B. MCDowell around 10 years ago. But I did not know how to finish it, until my collegue at work tore his shirt at work and I realised that the material would make a nice frame. Finished 05/09/2023.

 Giraffe

Very easy, simple appliqué made out of tie silk fabrics. I had to add the eyelashes in linen thread! Finished 02/09/2023

Monograms

For this, I collected various finished items that I had realised in the past, as starting points; a monogram in boutis, a cross stitch sampler, hardanger and boutis squares. I also used the initial labels from my great-grandmother. I then embroidered initials of members of my family. Finished 22-08-23.

 

My son bought me the "Kit Honorine" from Lileamousse. Finished february 2023.

 

After buying the book from Dijanne Cervaal " Plaids Nomades" I tiedyed a cotton sheet in grey.  I really enjoyed letting loose on this plaid. Finished on 23/08/2023.

 Corfu  After watching and enjoying the serie 'The Durrells" based in Corfu, Greece, I created a patchwork quilt based on one of their posters. Finished on the 12/05/2023.
